Thomas Alva Edison, born February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio died Oct. 18, 1931 in West Orange, New Jersey, is an American inventor, scientist, and industrialist.

Holder of over 1000 patents and official inventor of the light bulb, Thomas Edisonn had yet been declared by his teachers "hyperactive too stupid to learn anything". He was fired from his first two jobs because "not productive enough as an inventor".
