f) He has learnt a great deal about her life since/ for he began his research

g) They have been happily married since over thirty years

h) The little boy hasn't been seen since last Tuesday

i) I haven't seen Brenda since 2 o'clock

Exercice 3 :

a) Joyce has remarried after the war

b) there has been a power cut during the thunderstorm

c) Fred  has forgotten his map. We'll have to go back for it
