Freedom is the quality
individuals have to control their own actions. Different freedom
articulates the relationship of us individuals to society in
different ways. Some concepts relate to life under a social
community, and therefore define the active exercise of freedom and
rights essential to us in many corresponding ways. Understanding our
freedom involves how we imagine, and structure our
individual roles and
responsibilities in our society in terms of our free will and our
determination.
When we talk of our
freedom, we also talk about our civil rights, it provides us with
specific rights. Though the scope of the term differs
among various countries,
some examples of civil liberties include the freedom from slavery and
forced labor, freedom from torture and death, the right to liberty
and security, freedom of conscience, religion, expression, press,
assembly and association, speech, the freedom of privacy, the freedom
of equal treatment and the freedom of life. Other freedoms may
include the right to own property, the freedom to defend our
self.
